After graduating from Baylor University with a degree in English literature, I moved down to Austin and began a career as a freelance writer. That eventually led me into the local film industry, where I found footing as a writer and director. I was drawn to working with nonprofits and churches, and started a film production company called Canowan (the earliest word for Cunningham) that specialized in telling stories for clients. Throughout these years, I stayed committed to my original calling of being a novelist and poet. I continue to pursue that dream today and have several lifelong projects on the horizon. My overall portfolio is eclectic, and my most recent position was as the editor-in-chief of the Baylor Line magazine, a publication that began in 1946. Currently I work as the content manager for Magnolia. I am the adoring husband of my wife and the proud father of my two daughters.
